in 1972. For over 30 years, we have been successful in business in over 40 countries,
mainly in Europe and North America. While we have been steadily supplying various
bearing products to our customers in Europe and North America , our industrial
machines and tools have been mostly shipped to Europe, Central and South America,
and the Middle East.

History
June 1, 1972 | Phoenix was founded and began operation at 1-26, Isogami-Dori 5-Chome, Fukiai-Ku, Kobe-City. The company began as an export company to market various bearing products and gardening tools to Europe and North America and as an export business agent for various manufacturers. |

June 1, 1974 | After further development, the company name was changed to Phoenix International Corporation. A founder Minoru Kataoka was appointed to be CEO. |
1980’s | .As a result of participating in various trade shows, Phoenix obtained new customers in Northern Europe, Central Europe, and the U.S. for gardening tools and agricultural equipment. The company established its business base by exporting products to the following home improvement stores in these regions. GARDENA (Germany), CASTORAMA (France), FISKERS (Sweden), WHITE ROSE (Canada), HOME DEPOT (USA) etc. Bearings, gardening tools/agricultural equipment, cargo transport equipment (hoists)/tools became the company’s three main business areas. |

In a more competitive international business environment, established a steady revenue structure based on its export business to excellent customers mainly in Europe and North/South America and trading in various high quality / high performance Japanese products. Import business from North America begun in the 1990’s was further established as a steady business base. |
